Mail Call : Recent Card Making

I’ve been making greeting cards for as long as I can remember, and now that my friends and family are so used to receiving them, I feel that if I don’t make their cards, they’ll think it’s odd. As though I’ve been under-the-weather or something, and couldn’t make a card. I’m sure they’d appreciate a store-bought card just (almost?) as much and don’t expect me to always make them, but I really like to do it. I find it fun to just start cutting and gluing, never being totally certain how a particular one will turn out.

So, here are a few I’ve made recently ..

The last one was a thank you card for my niece and nephew, who recently sent us a surprise note which contained a gift card in it. They are just entering adulthood, and I found it so endearing to receive my first piece of ‘grown up’ correspondence from them. The photo on the card I made for them is one I took with my film camera when they were little, which I scanned and printed on my home printer. Their lips were so red in the picture that I have to assume some cherry lollies must have been enjoyed!

Thanks for taking a look,
Loulou
