A Sunday Morning Walk to Kensington Market

autumn-in-toronto

Here are some photos of a walk to Kensington Market we took on Sunday morning. It was clear and sunny out, although cool enough that we needed hats, scarves and gloves. Really it was one of those perfect autumn days and I am so glad I got up and out with Nick after he announced he was going. (He goes a few times a week and, especially on a Sunday morning, I am more apt to let him go on his own.)

Here are some pictures taken on the way …

We changed our clocks back an hour here this weekend and we forgot about that, so when we arrived at what we thought was 11, many of the shops were just opening their gates and getting their wares out. So we early birds got some coffee to go and aimlessly wandered the colourful streets a bit.

We were home before noon (new time) and Nick made a delicious pasta lunch using some of the fresh things we had bought. We had a glass of red wine with lunch, which led to a second. Some days are just right for a spot of day-drinking.

The crocheted rose brooch I am wearing is a new creation, which I’ll be back to show you in detail later this week.

Thank you for dropping over,
