I found this cool old photograph of the corner of Bathurst and Queen West, taken in 1935 and I took these of the same spot recently. I particularly like the fact that the old one depicts the installation of a set of electricity poles, some of which are still standing to this day! So, while the buildings on either side of the road, which were originally built as banks, have long been converted for other uses, the poles stayed the same! Confirms the saying ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.
Care to see what 77 years of staples look like?!

Oh wow, that’s a lot of staples! I love pictures like this one, especially if you can still recognize the space. Awesome.
What a fun find! I absolutely love that 77 years of staple picture, that is super neat!
What a fun thing to see these two photos. I love all the lines criss-crossing in the sky – so interesting. The staple pic is also quite amazing. Imagine all the messages stapled there!
That is a TON of staples – cool photos!
That is so cool Loulou! I hope that in 77 years someone finds this and takes a third picture.
Also, do you have a place where you can cash in scrap metal because I bet you could make a killing off that phone pole ;) bahaha
Woah! I never knew I wanted to see what 77 years of staples looked like until I saw that picture! ^^
I really like that you showed the old picture and new picture of the street – great contrast.
