Salt Spring Island’s Saturday Market and a New Necklace

Hi. Here is another post about our recent trip to Canada’s west coast. These shots were taken at the Saturday Market on Salt Spring Island.

There was such a variety of wonderful things on offer, ranging from delectable looking treats, organic vegetables and flowers, and an astounding array of high quality handmade things. I’m not sure how many vendors were there but there were two long rows with stalls on both sides. There was so much to look at and the beautiful weather added to the memorable experience.

I was one lucky girl because I was invited by a relative to pick out a gift for myself. And I tell you, that was very hard to do. But my love of pendant necklaces won out when I saw the beautiful display of jewellery made by Alvaro Sanchez. The more difficult decision was choosing what kind of stone I wanted in it. I admired the amethyst, garnet and onyx ones, but the hematite was the one I finally decided on. I love it.
