To the the Market We Did Go

When I joined long-legged Nick on a walk to Kensington Market the other day, I got a good workout. That man is fast on his feet!

And while it would make for a better story to say that these shots were taken during a leisurely stroll in one of my favourite parts of town, in actuality, they were shot on the fly, with each being followed by a hop skip and a jump to catch up.

There were more than a few pictures of Nick’s back, with him way up ahead.

But I didn’t mind because I knew what I was in for and got home thoroughly invigorated, with a selection of some really fresh fruits and vegetables. Oh and hot sauce! They have the best selection of hot sauces there. If you’re looking for some yourself, check out House of Spice at 190 Augusta.

That is not to say that every time we go there we’re in make-this-quick mode. In fact, most of the time we go we take it more slowly, and sometimes stop for a snack or a cup of coffee.

Kensington Market is a place where you could simply stand still on a corner and see a whole world unfold around you. It is such a neat place, which we consider ourselves lucky to live near.

While all the fresh vegetables we arrived home with were appealing, I was most excited about the basket of local peaches!

Thanks for dropping over. I hope you’re having a great Thursday.
