On Saturday night I went out with Andrea and her friend Anna (who I was meeting for the first time and who I can now call my friend too) to a club called ”Cherry Cola’s” for some live music.

None of us knew anything about the three local bands that were on the bill but we took a chance and lucked out — they were all really good. Each band included musicians from the other bands.

After the live music ended, a dj played some retro tunes. By chance, as it was then after midnight, so the day he later died, the Bowie song “Fame” came on and drew us right out onto the dance floor, for what was the beginning of much dancing.

It was a really fun night.

Andrea slept over at our place. We got home after 2 and had a snack (baked brie with baguette slices and cranberry sauce) before going to bed.

We slept late on Sunday and then hung out in pyjamas watching a couple of good movies, The Holiday and About Time. There was a snow storm going on outside but we kept nice and warm with blankets and wine. Nick made a delicious quiche. Good times!

I hope you had a fine weekend too.
