I found this cool old photograph of the corner of Bathurst and Queen West, taken in 1935 and I took these of the same spot recently. I particularly like the fact that the old one depicts the installation of a set of electricity poles, some of which are still standing to this day! So, while the buildings on either side of the road, which were originally built as banks, have long been converted for other uses, the poles stayed the same! Confirms the saying ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.
Care to see what 77 years of staples look like?!
Thank you for dropping by! Hope you’re having a good Tuesday.
