Vintage Valentine Cats

cat valentine with flowers

Since Saturday is Caturday around here and it's just before Valentine's Day, I thought you might like to take a look at my vintage valentines with cats on them.

I think the first one above is my favourite. I just love that turquoise eyeshadow!

The next 4 photos are from a book of valentines dated 1947.

I would guess that the next two are from the 70s.

There is no date on these next ones but they are from a booklet of 33 valentines that cost only 25 cents. I'd say the 50s or 60s.

These next two are from a booklet stating 36 valentines and 18 envelopes for $.49 There is no date so I'm guessing they're from the late 60s / early 70s.

I got this last card recently. I couldn't resist.

Eddie is a bit put off that he couldn't be in the Saturday is Caturday post but we're trying to teach him how to share. He's not a very good sharer though, and is mad right now. I'm just kidding .. he doesn't really care that much.

Thanks for checking out my post.

Those are cute. If I had known in the 70’s they would be collectible, I would have kept them. LOL

  3. Laura says:

Where do you get these vintage cards from?

    • Loulou says:

Hi Laura. I got these throughout the years on eBay. I’m thrifty, so did not spend big bucks on them. Rather I watched for them out of season when they were not in high demand.
