One of the fun things about living in the city is that even popping out to the store can take you by many interesting people and things. Here we are a week ago Saturday, going out to get a bottle of wine and some rum, on King Street West.

↑ I love that this part of town still has most of the beautiful original buildings still standing and they are now being joined by new development. (Yes, it was the building features that I liked in this picture ;) ↑

↑ This new condo development is being built around an old building that was first used as a silver-plating factory, originally built in 1875.

↑ Like I’ve mentioned before, I can’t let a horse trot by on the street without snapping a shot! ↑

↑ Moving onto more modern means of transportation, this Lamborghini was parked on the street. These are not a common sight here and is only the second one I’ve ever seen. (Not that I think a $200k car is common anywhere)↑

↑ The street car tracks at the corner of Spadina were being replaced, so we got a close-up view of that. ↑

zombie-pingpong-sign

↑ Zombie ping pong anyone? By coincidence Nick bought us a ping pong set recently so we can play on a permanent table that has been set up in a public park nearby. We had no idea there was an official ping pong club right in the neighbourhood. I’ll have to practice up before going there, though. ↑
